The company focuses on user-friendly design, memorable branding and effective digital advertising strategies. Job Description Eightball Media is looking for an experienced Front End Developer with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for creating well-built.
You will have experience working on large sites, online campaigns, and ideally 3+ years working in an agency environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating pixel-perfect sites with beautiful clean code. We need someone who’s talented, responsible and enjoys a dynamic environment. Great communication, initiative and problem solving skills are important, and you should be able to multi-task in our busy environment.
Skills – The chosen candidate will require sound knowledge of:
- XHTML, HTML & CSS (ability to hand-code essential)
- Current web standards and accessibility
- Cross-browser and platform issues & compatibility
- jQuery and Ajax • Interface design and usability principles
- Php / Javascript
- Coding for sites with a CMS in particular Joomla!
Experience – Being able to show examples of work you have completed in the following areas will also be an advantage:
- E -commerce Cross-Browser / Cross-Platform front end development experience
- Experience with Joomla, WordPress and Magento E-commerce
- Knowledge in responsive front end development (you will be expected to showcase past examples)
- Cross-browser and standards compliant code that meets accessibility requirements
- Ability to balance stakeholder objectives, users’ goals and technology constraints
- Photoshop / Illustrator
Other Key Areas – The successful applicant will also be required to deal directly with clients on occasions so a friendly, professional manner is important.
